ChyronHego Breaks Out the Brands
ChyronHego is repositioning its product offering with the launch of three corporate brands – Chyron, HEGO, and TRACAB – to cultivate what it calls “greater product development, tech support, and customer success in each respective market”.
In the area of broadcast technology, the company is “reclaiming” the legendary Chyron name which, it says, “will continue to serve professional broadcasts across news, sports, and beyond that require broadcast-graphics, data + content management, MOS-integration, and control”.
The HEGO brand name will represent the company’s professional live broadcast services, including equipment and experienced personnel, qualified to work with Chyron and other vendors’ equipment.
Meanwhile, the newest brand in the stable, TRACAB, willl focus on data and coaching tools designed to assist professional and collegiate athletic coaches and leagues with player tracking data, illustrated replay, and virtual player lineups.
The brands will operate under the ChyronHego umbrella. Existing products within the current ChyronHego portfolio will continue to receive ongoing sales, support, and development.
The announcement follows a recapitalisation of ChyronHego announced in January which was led by management firm Apollo Investment Corporation (NASDAQ: AINV), now the majority investor in the business.
