After becoming the Ten Network’s largest shareholder and joining the board in late 2010, Lachlan Murdoch was elected to the role of chairman by the board on Friday.
“I look forward to working with the board and our new CEO to re-shape Ten and to improve its performance for the benefit of all shareholders,” said Mr Murdoch.
Chief executive James Warburton has also joined the board as managing director, while former chairman Brian Long will become deputy chairman.
“The board is pleased that Lachlan has agreed to accept the role of non-executive chairman,” Mr Long said in a statement. “His extensive media experience will provide Ten with invaluable strategic leadership.”
