Linear Acoustic Expands Sales Support Team

Linear Acoustic, digital television loudness control and upmixing solutions expert, appointed three new field applications engineer positions to manage territories across the US. The new team will be responsible for developing, supporting, and managing direct accounts in their individual regions.
All positions will report directly to Christina Carroll, who has been promoted from her role as the company’s director of operations to vice president of sales and marketing. Additionally, to further strengthen the team, Don Cardone has been promoted to Linear Acoustic’s director of business development for North, South, and Central Americas and Mexico.
Heading up the West Coast operations for Linear Acoustic is Lon Neumann, who brings over 20 years of industry experience to his new role. He comes to Linear Acoustic from Enders & Associates, where he served as an independent manufacturers’ representative for 25 HDTV broadcast lines. Previously, Neumann was the western manager of field operations for Sony’s Super Audio CD Project, where he successfully prepared more than 100 albums for world-class artists and producers, winning engineering credits for two Grammy Award-nominated albums. Prior to working with Sony, Neumann served as production sound engineer at Warner Bros. Pictures, where he was responsible for production sound installations for hit episodic TV shows like “Murphy Brown” and “Designing Women”.
Also joining Linear Acoustic as the Midwest field engineer is Hal Buttermore, who brings more than 30 years of broadcast engineering experience including major facility design and construction, studio systems installation, and transmitter and antenna project design and management. Buttermore has held positions as director of engineering for Cap Cities/ABC/Disney, Detroit and market engineering manager at CBS, where he managed the construction of digital studios and the rollout of new technologies such as streaming, multicasting, and the conversion of six stations to HD transmission.
Linear Acoustic also has brought on Roger Cucci as the company’s new East Coast field applications engineer. Cucci has more than 25 years of experience in television production, studio operations, facility design, and systems integration. He comes to Linear Acoustic from Music Choice, where he served as the company’s chief engineer and was responsible for setting audio, video, and editing standards for VOD content in addition to establishing a digital archive for the company’s media assets. Prior to Music Choice, Cucci was a technical manager at NBC for 12 years.
