VIZ Engine 4 – Cornerstone of Next-gen Media Workflows
Vizrt recently introduced Viz Engine 4. This latest iteration of Viz Engine, the most powerful render engine for live media, provides unmatched real time performance, low latency media flows, stunning effects for photo realism and new compositing features.

Viz Engine’s innovative design includes three render pipelines that blend beautiful design with Vizrt’s template-based workflow.
Reality Fusion – The new Reality Fusion render pipeline allows for added effects of realism, real-time performance as well as a wealth of post-processing effect. Viz Engine 4 uses physical-based rendering and global illumination amongst numerous other techniques to achieve realism for virtual studios and augmented reality graphics to levels never seen before.
Existing render pipeline – Full backward compatibility of scenes allows users to continue with the established, industry-proven workflows today while integrating the features of Reality Fusion pipeline, ensuring a smooth transition to the new render pipeline.
Third party render engines – This new Vizrt offering includes a close integration with third party engines, such as Unreal Engine 4, adds the flexibility of having backdrops with physical simulations such as trees blowing in the wind, combined with a template-driven workflow for foreground graphics.

The brand new Fusion Keyer is built from the ground up to deliver the best keying performance using the latest techniques include light-wrapping, a denoiser, and multiple mattes, amongst other techniques. The result is a pipeline that delivers a clean and unobtrusive key in real-time preserving the finest details.
Unrivalled compositing speed and compatibility with established and emerging media technologies – including SDI, IP, UHD and HDR – makes this the most advanced platform on the market. It is open for every other IP format including out-of-the-box support for WebRTC, NDI and the SMPTE 2110 standard.
