New from Telemetrics – OmniGlide

Telemetrics recently unveiled its new OmniGlide Roving Platform. The new rover features an innovative three-point-contact design for tripod-like stability while enabling the pedestal to turn more sharply and smoothly thanks to advanced omnidirectional electromechanical servo-motors integrated into the pedestal base. With three modes of operation – Robotic Control, Manual Crabbing, and Manual Free Roam – this new roving pedestal also utilises advanced software and XY sensors, similar to those of the autonomous car industry, to aid in its unmanned operation.

AR Studio Workflow

Telemetrics is spotlighting an augmented reality (AR) graphics demonstration in its exhibit booth (booth C8319) with Vizrt, specialists in AR graphic production tools. The AR demo features the Telemetrics PT-LP-S5 servo-controlled PTZ camera head precisely synchronised with the Viz Virtual Studio rendering engine and its built-in multi-layer compositor to render a computer-generated character interacting with a live video feed.


Following on from the Telemetrics S4 series of weather-proof camera systems, the new temperature-controlled PT-WP-S5 pan/tilt and WP-HOUL-S5 sturdy metal housing is ideally suited for TV station TraffiCam systems, outdoor racetracks and stadiums as well as high-level security applications.

Addressing a broad customer base that relies on volunteer or novice camera operators, at the 2018 NAB Show (Booth C8319), Telemetrics, a leader in camera robotics and control technology, will introduced a new Perspective View feature for its entry-level RCCP-M Robotic Camera Control Panel that offers reliability and ease of use to help capture the user’s unique vision for remote camera control, increase productivity and lower operational costs.
