ARRI Mourns Loss of Florian Stahl

On the 27th of February, 2019, Florian Stahl, member of the Richter founding family, passed away. The Supervisory Board and Management Board at ARRI as well as all ARRI colleagues, greatly mourn the loss.

We are truly saddened by his too early death. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his wife and three children, as well as to the entire Stahl family.

Florian Stahl was very attached to ARRI his entire life. His passion for film and the filmmakers as well as his interest in the technical but also creative aspects of film production led to valuable suggestions in the development of the company during the decades he accompanied ARRI. We thank him sincerely for these impulses and will always honour his memory.

The customers’ perception of ARRI was particularly important to Florian Stahl. Values such as reliability and fairness towards customers were of great significance to him and these ideals continue to drive us today in our everyday work. During the company’s centennial celebrations in 2017, ARRI had the opportunity to interview Florian Stahl. In this interview, he shared some family anecdotes along with his personal impression of ARRI with us. You will find the interview here.
