Jesse Cox Audio Fellowship Launches for 2021

The Jesse Cox Audio Fellowship is an AUD$10,000 cash fellowship, awarded annually to an Australian resident pushing innovative audio storytelling. This fellowship will provide a career-defining opportunity for a mid-career practitioner to accelerate their career.

Jesse Cox (1986-2017) was a Walkley award winning radio producer with a passion for storytelling. He developed pioneering programming for Sydney’s FBi Radio and ABC Radio National and was head of Original Content at Audible’s APAC office.

He was a masterful storyteller, constantly pushing the audio form and fostering new talent in the Australian audio making community. He was a generous mentor and featured as part of the 2017 Audiocraft Podcast Festival program, talking about the craft of long form narrative journalism.

The fellowship has been established to continue Jesse’s determination to strengthen and build the Australian audio community, to push audio storytelling in form and amplify underrepresented voices.

APPLICATIONS CLOSE SUNDAY MARCH 14 AT MIDNIGHT (AEST).
