CBAA Offers Conference Scholarships

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia is offering ten CBAA Conference Scholarships valued at almost $1200 each for community radio station leaders to attend the CBAA Conference 2021, from 2-4 December in Cairns, Queensland.

The scholarships provide invaluable opportunities for under-resourced stations, volunteers and staff to attend the CBAA Conference to learn, network, share knowledge and participate in discussions to which they wouldn’t otherwise be exposed.

Submissions are open to community radio station leaders who:

  • are a board/committee member of, employed by, or a volunteer at a community radio station that holds a temporary or permanent community radio licence, is an aspirant broadcaster, or is a member of the CBAA
  • are an Australian citizen, permanent resident or holder of a humanitarian visa
  • has the approval of their station to attend the Conference

Preference will be given to applicants who are in leadership positions at stations and are under the age of 26; of an underrepresented gender; from a station in a regional, rural or remote location; or representing a station that was not at the 2019 face-to-face CBAA Conference.

Scholarship submissions close 11:59pm AEST on Monday, 2 August.
