Southern Cross Rebrands NSW Central Coast Radio Stations
Southern Cross Austereo’s (SCA) Central Coast stations, 2GO and Sea FM, and the Gold Coast’s Gold FM, have officially rebranded with Gold 92.5 becoming Goldie’s 92.5 Triple M and 107.7 2GO becoming Central Coast’s 107.7 Triple M and the Central Coast’s 101.3 Sea FM rebranding to Central Coast’s Hit101.3.
To celebrate this milestone, hundreds of guests, including clients, media and friends of SCA attended special rebrand events on the Gold and Central coasts.
Terrigal Surf Life Saving Club lit up the Central Coast with local music duo Miniq and local comedian Kabba keeping the crowd entertained throughout the evening. SCA’s Central Coast executives were joined by Gemma Fordham, Head of the Hit Network, to launch the new era for these stations.
“We are so excited to welcome the Central Coast as our newest member of the Hit family. We’ve already had a great response from advertisers and listeners to our authentic and funny shows, such as Gawndy and Ash, Carrie and Tommy and Hughesy and Ed. We’ll continue to deliver the latest hit music, old-school favourites and of course RNB Fridays to the coast. Just like Sea FM was, Hit 101.3 will be an integral part of Coasties’ listening, we live and breathe the local community and we treat that as a privilege every day,” Fordham said.
Further north on the Gold Coast, guests were officially welcomed to Triple M by Head of Triple M, Mike Fitzpatrick, and SCA’s Gold Coast executives. Aussie music talents Conrad Sewell and Birds of Tokyo, along with Triple M’s very own comedian Lawrence Mooney, performed on a stage set up in the heart of Surfers Paradise, allowing for passers-by to also join in the celebrations.
“What a privilege it is to bring this iconic radio brand to the Goldie and Central coasts. It’s hard to describe Triple M other than to say it’s a unique combination of music, sport and comedy and we’ll continue to provide our listeners entertaining and compelling local radio, as well as the best of our national line-up. From our launch event, it’s easy to see that we already have passionate fans and excited advertisers on both the Gold and Central coasts,” Fitzpatrick said.
