StarHub Closes Dormant Internet Subsidiary
Singapore telco/pay TV operator StarHub has announced that StarHub Internet Pte Ltd, a dormant wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, has been struck off Singapore’s Register of Companies with effect from 4 September 2019 pursuant to Section 344A of the Singapore Companies Act (Chapter 50).
According to the company, “The striking off of StarHub Internet Pte Ltd is not expected to have any material impact on the net tangible assets per share and earnings per share of the Company and the Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2019.”
Originally founded in 1995 as CyberWay, the internet service provider was renamed StarHub Internet Pte Ltd in December 1999 after being acquired by the StarHub group.
