ABC Postpones 2019 Annual Public Meeting
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation has announced that the ABC Annual Public Meeting scheduled for February 2019 has been postponed.
In the wake of the dismissal of former MD Michelle Guthrie and resignation of Chairman Justin Milne, the ABC has issued a statement saying that it “… believes that decisions around the timing and purpose of future Annual Public Meetings should involve the new ABC Chair. The Federal Government is responsible for the appointment of the ABC Chair and this process is currently underway.”
Dr Kirstin Ferguson is currently ABC Acting Chair until a replacement for Mr Milne has been selected while David Anderson remains Acting Managing Director of the ABC.
