TiVo Renews License Deal with Alticast
TiVo Corporation a global leader in entertainment technology and audience insights today announced that Alticast, a media technology provider, has renewed its intellectual property (IP) license to deliver advanced entertainment products in Korea.
The IP license covers the patent portfolio of Rovi Corporation, a TiVo company, enabling Alticast to deliver video solutions to Korea’s leading entertainment industry players, including IPTV, cable and direct-to-home (DTH) platform providers.
As a supplier of middleware, interactive program guide (IPG), content protection, Service Delivery Platform (SDP), UX virtualisation and OTT products for the Korean pay-TV market, Alticast is committed to providing innovative solutions for platforms in today’s competitive market. “With access to a TiVo patent portfolio, we can further deliver advanced, future-ready solutions for our customers to stay relevant amidst a fragmented market, while providing high-performance entertainment experiences to consumers,” said Dosa Park, Head of Platform Business Division, Alticast.
