Introducing ‘Fierce Girls’
Australian history abounds with stories of adventurous girls who grew up to be women with guts and spirit.
The new ABC podcast Fierce Girls tells the inspirational stories of some of our most extraordinary Australian women and girls, and is narrated by other fierce Australian females.
From athletes to aviators, authors to activists and scientists to spies, Fierce Girls tells the real-life tales of inspiring female heroes, including World War II spy, Nancy Wake; nine-time Paralympic gold medallist, Louise Sauvage, and the 16 year old girl who sailed solo around the world, Jessica Watson.
This series, aimed at primary school girls is narrated by athlete and humanitarian Turia Pitt; journalist and presenter Leigh Sales, journalist and presenter, Lisa Wilkinson, actor Madison Lu, six-time world champion surfer, Stephanie Gilmore, actor Justine Clarke and more!
