‘ZooMoo’s’ Australian Premiere Set for February 16 on 7TWO

Australia’s most watched television network, Seven, has acquired the fully interactive TV series ‘ZooMoo’ for its broadcast channel, 7TWO.

Screening 7am weekdays from Tuesday, February 16, “ZooMoo” is dedicated to the amazing world of animals and wildlife and is geared to 5 to 7 year olds.

Having recently launched in the USA, Mexico and throughout Latin America, ‘ZooMoo’ prides itself on ‘All Animals All the Time’- with a crew of charismatic animal puppet hosts and a combination of spectacular wildlife footage and narrative techniques that will enhance children’s innate love of animals the show develops an affinity for the natural world.

The ‘ZooMoo’ television viewing experience is uniquely tied in with a free ZooMoo App to provide a multiplatform experience that allows viewers to collect animals they encounter on the TV screen and bring them to life on their mobile device with games, music, puzzles and other great activities.

“We are delighted to be bringing this fun yet educational series to 7TWO’s audiences as well as to be sharing our passion for animals in their natural world with kids here in Australia. More and more, kids are losing direct interaction with nature, so it’s important we find ways to gently and enthusiastically nurture their innate affection for animals in ways that complement their learning and play time.  Coupling the television viewing experience with the interactive mobile ‘ZooMooApp’ element ensures kids are engaged in multiple ways as they learn about the lives of animals.  Through their interaction with “ZooMoo” we hope the fascination of animal life stays with them to ensure the preservation of our world and its inhabitants for future generations” said ZooMoo Networks’ General Manager, Catherine Nebauer.

Niki Hamilton, Seven’s Executive Producer of Children’s Television, said: “Seven is proud to be bringing such an innovative and engaging series to Australian families”.

Each “ZooMoo” episode has been expertly developed to help kids with logistical reasoning, linguistics, spatial awareness as well as encouraging them to participate and investigate whilst remaining fun and engaging. The series has been developed in consultation with a team of leading childhood learning specialists from New Zealand’s University of Otago led by Professor Jeff Smith, Ph.D.

‘ZooMoo’ has been produced by a creative team of highly experienced, Emmy Award winning production executives including some of the world’s foremost wildlife filmmakers.
