JMC Academy Takes JVC Cameras for Brisbane Campus
Quinto Communications has announced the sale of 3x JVC ProHD GY-HM-890 Camera Systems to JMC Academy for installation into its Brisbane Campus.
The new generation of JVC 800 Series Cameras purchased by JMC include full “STUDIO KITS” comprising of GY-HM890 camera with Fujinon 20x AF lens, Studio Viewfinder, Studio Sled, Studio Adaptor for multicore control and Camera Control Unit, which will provide the academy’s lecturers and new generation of students the latest camera technology to assist them in their media & production courses.
JMC Academy uses JVC ProHD Cameras in all of their Campuses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, but it was their Brisbane campus that was due for a technology refresh so the GY-HM890 Series was chosen to replace the older generation of JVC GY-HM251 tape based cameras.
The JVC ProHD GY-HM890 camera is a compact and versatile shoulder camcorder or studio camera adopting full HD 1/3 inch CMOS sensors, Dual SD/HD SDHC/SDXC Memory Card recording enabling recording of Extreme high Quality of HD material in H.264 50Mbps as well as well as other modes to support a wide range of workflows including MPEG2, AVCHD, MPEG-4/AVC H.264 at various bit rates.
The JVC 800 Series also supports Advanced Streaming and Cloud Services providing Live Streaming capability of video/audio in ENG/EFP field acquisition environment back to the newsroom using either Wi-Fi or 4G network simply by plugging in a USB Network Adaptor including support for UDP/TCP/RTSP/RTP and “Zixi” protocols as the camera has in-built “Zixi Engine”. This technology also allows the GY-HM 800 Series cameras to be used in conjunction with Zixi’s cloud delivery service enabling reliable delivery of content over the internet simply by entering a single IP address.
